Portugal: Kiala aims to bring Black authors from the margins to the heart of publishing

The imprint founded by Elga Fontes entered the market in May to tackle the lack of Black authors and show their work goes beyond racism, discrimination or suffering. In 2026 it will publish two books and already has its 2027 list agreed.
