Jinggoy Estrada surrenders to CIDG
MANILA, Philippines – Sen. Jinggoy Estrada surrendered to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camp Crame on Monday following the arrest order issued by the Sandiganbayan in connection with the plunder and graft cases filed against him. The senator was accused of pocketing P573 million in alleged kickbacks linked to a flood control project. The anti-graft court’s Fifth Division released the arrest warrant, days after Estrada posted P90,000 bail for another graft charge.
