Mandaue City moves to crack down on illegal drag racing
MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Mandaue City is set to impose stricter measures against illegal drag racing on public roads through a proposed resolution aimed at protecting motorists, pedestrians, and communities from the dangers of unauthorized speed contests. Councilor Carlo Pontico Fortuna authored the measure, which reiterates the prohibition of illegal street racing and directs traffic and law enforcement authorities to apprehend violators. Fortuna said the resolution seeks to safeguard lives, maintain peace and order, and strengthen compliance with traffic laws across the city.
