House prosecution vows to oppose move to dismiss Duterte impeachment

The House prosecution panel will oppose any attempt to dismiss the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, saying the Senate’s impeachment rules provide only for a trial followed by either conviction or acquittal. “To be moved or request towards the dismissal of the impeachment complaint, we will oppose it,” lead prosecutor and House committee on justice Chair Gerville Luistro of Batangas said on Monday.
