MANILA, Philippines — It will be up to the Sandiganbayan to grant a possible request from Sen. Jinggoy Estrada to have knee replacement surgery, according to Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla. Estrada and four other co-accused were ordered arrested by the Sandiganbayan on Monday over plunder charges in connection with the flood control scandal. “I told him [Estrada] that I have no power over that,” Remulla said in Filipino when asked whether authorities would address Estrada’s concern about a knee replacement surgery in a press briefing in Camp Crame.
