One killed, three injured as tricycles collide in Jos

One person was killed while three others injured when two tricycle collided along Haske Road near Lamingo Golf Club in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The accident occurred Monday evening when two commercial tricycles, popularly known as Keke Napep, collided. An eyewitness, Mr Joseph Haruna, said the crash happened after one of the tricycle operators attempted to dodge a pothole on the road, leading to a collision with another tricycle coming from opposite direction. He said the incident happened around 5p.m., explaining that “the impact of the collision left one passenger dead at the scene, while other three occupants of the tricycles sustained varying degrees of injuries. He said the potholes along the road pose a serious danger to motorists and other road users. Our correspondent reports that the accident had caused traffic congestion along the road.
