Lipa City declines Leviste’s 1,000 rice pack donation
LUCENA CITY — The local government of Lipa City in Batangas province has declined a donation of 1,000 packs of rice that was reportedly intended for City Hall employees. In an official statement written in Filipino, the city government said it remains grateful to individuals and organizations seeking to extend assistance to the community. “Along with the acceptance of any donation comes the responsibility of the government to ensure its proper and transparent distribution,” the statement said.
