Senate gridlock delays confirmation of 5 generals
MANILA, Philippines — The confirmation of five generals in the Armed Forces of the Philippines is being held up due to the Senate gridlock, the Armed Forces of the Philippines confirmed. Despite the leadership change on May 11, no senators have been elected as members of the Commission on Appointments (CA), who are assigned to confirm the appointments of the AFP officers.
