Karen Davila addressed the senators who turned emotional over the recent arrest of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, stressing their sympathy should instead be directed toward the suffering ordinary Filipinos. Estrada surrendered to authorities on Monday, June 1, after an arrest warrant was issued against him in connection with his plunder case. The case, which is non-bailable, stemmed from accusations that he allegedly received kickbacks from flood-control projects.
