WWII internment of travellers: French survivors fight for recognition

Eighty years ago, the last travellers were freed from French internment camps. Throughout World War II, discriminatory policies saw thousands of Romani, Sinti, Manush, Yenish and travellers displaced across France, imprisoned in vast internment camps and sent to extermination camps in Eastern Europe. Our reporters Antonia Kerrigan and Valentine Erba went to meet with a French survivor of internment.
