
Japan earmarks P134-M scholarships for young Filipino gov't officers
MANILA – Tokyo has earmarked PHP134 million in scholarship for young Filipino government officers interested to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in Japan, the Japanese Embassy in Manila announced on Tuesday. In a statement, the embassy said the grant amount of JPY356 million (approximately PHP134 million) is intended to support at least 19 Filipinos for the 2027 to 2028 academic year at leading universities in Japan.
