Hadi clinches APP Plateau gov’ship ticket
The Action People’s Party (APP) in Plateau State has elected Aminu Mohammed Hadi as its candidate for the 2027 governorship election in the state. The exercise, held at Masallacin Juma’a Street in the Jos North Local Government Area, was attended by party stakeholders, supporters, delegates from across the state, and representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Delegates from the 17 local government areas of the state unanimously endorsed Hadi as the governorship candidate through a consensus arrangement. Until his nomination, Hadi served as the Secretary of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Plateau State, a position through which he played a visible role in promoting political dialogue and inter-party cooperation. Speaking during the affirmation process, party officials explained that the consensus option was adopted in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act and the party’s constitution. They stressed that the decision reflected the collective resolve of members to present a united front ahead of the 2027 polls. In his acceptance speech, the newly affirmed governorship candidate expressed deep appreciation to party leaders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
