
Measures proposed to protect Talibon bird sanctuary in Bohol
MANDUE CITY, Cebu – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Central Visayas (DENR-7) has partnered with the Bohol Provincial Government and the Local Government of Talibon to help secure a sustainable future for the town’s bird sanctuary. The Talibon Group of Islands Protected Landscape and Seascape (TGIPLS) is a legislated protected area that serves as a sanctuary for 28 migratory bird species. Covering 6,446 hectares, the TGIPLS encompasses the islands of Banbanon, Bansaan, Saag, and Tambu.
