
Heavy rains expected in Zambales as 'habagat' strengthens – Pagasa
OLONGAPO CITY — The southwest monsoon or Habagat is expected to bring several days of heavy rain in Zambales province, according to the state weather bureau on Wednesday. In an advisory at 11:00 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the province is expected to experience continuous monsoon rains from Wednesday, June 3, until noon on Saturday, June 6. Rainfall amounts may reach 50 to 100 millimeters per day, with higher volumes possible in mountainous and elevated areas of the province.
