Death toll climbs to 26 in Angeles building collapse

ANGELES CITY — The death toll from the collapse of a nine-story building under construction in Barangay Balibago here rose to 26 on Thursday evening after responders recovered another victim from the rubble. The Unified Command said the latest casualty was successfully extricated at 6:40 p.m., as search, rescue, and retrieval operations continued at the disaster site despite heavy rain.
