Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State, Mahadi Aliyu Gusau, yesterday, debunked reports alleging he has withdrawn from the state governorship race. A statement by Salisu Mohammed, the Press Secretary to the ADC candidate described the reports as malicious, fabricated, and misleading. “We wish to categorically state that this report is false, baseless, mischievous, and the handiwork of desperate political elements whose sole objective is to mislead the public, create confusion within the polity, and undermine the democratic process. The statement read. He further said Gusau remains the authentic gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State. “At no time has he withdrawn his candidature, nor has he authorized any individual or group to speak on his behalf regarding such a matter.
