
Watch: Joseph Muscat Unanimously Reconfirmed As Malta Premier League Chairman
Joseph Muscat has been unanimously reconfirmed as Chairman of the Malta Premier League following a vote of confidence during the organisation’s Annual General Meeting. Muscat received 12 votes in favour and none against, securing a second term at the helm of the Malta Premier League. League officials noted that MPL revenue has grown from €60,000 to nearly €1 million in just two years of operation. Meanwhile, Victor Cassar of Hamrun Spartans and Johann Said of Floriana were elected to fill vacant seats on the Malta Football Association Executive Board. The AGM also approved the calendar for the 2026/27 season, which is set to kick off on 14th August. The draw and fixture sequence for the opening phase of the league will be held on 20th July. •
