MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) reminded school transport drivers to avoid overcrowding their vehicles and ensure that students wear their seatbelts as classes are set to open on June 8. “We want to get close to make sure that our students are not being made into ‘sardines,’ because sometimes that happens, so we have to monitor,” LTFRB Chair Vigor Mendoza II said in Filipino during an interview with reporters on Thursday.
