Jakarta (ANTARA) - State Secretariat Minister Prasetyo Hadi hinted at the possibility of Labor Party President Said Iqbal joining the Red and White Cabinet.
Speaking at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday (June 4), he said the government was “currently discussing” a potential post for Iqbal, who also leads the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI).
He noted that the labor figure would likely be assigned to a role connected to manpower and labor affairs.
“Just wait, discussions are still underway,” Hadi told reporters.
The minister also highlighted plans for the inauguration of new leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) at the palace on Monday (June 8), alongside President Prabowo Subianto’s reception of letters of credential from several new ambassadors.
However, he declined to confirm whether Monday’s agenda includes the announcement of Iqbal as a cabinet member.
