Sarah Jessica Parker Weighs in on ‘The Family Stone’ Sequel After Diane Keaton's Death

James Wilkie Broderick is getting gains.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s eldest shared a look at his fitness journey as he stepped out in New York June 3.

During the outing in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, James, 23, sported a cut-off T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase “Stealing the Show” as well as a pair of white athletic shorts. He topped off his post-workout style with an NBA Finals-themed Knicks snapback and carried a black shoulder bag as well as a Gatorade.

One day before his latest outing, James had shown off his new physique in a slew of photographs shared to Instagram.

Alongside photos of the Brown University alum posing in a tank top, sweatshirt and cargo pants, he mused, “So dope!!”

And James’ inner circle was quick to praise his new look.

“Ah handsome,” James’ mom Sarah Jessica wrote. “And happy. Xxx, mama.”

Meanwhile, SJP’s longtime friend Andy Cohen added, “GREAT!”

While James is embarking on a new chapter since graduating from college last year Sarah Jessica—who also shares 16-year-old twins Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta with Matthew—has previously detailed the emphasis she puts on continued education with her kids.

“I really want my children to be educated in the ways that are fulfilling to them,” she told E! News last year. “I don’t think that there is one way to be an educated person or to be equipped to be an adult and try to fashion a life for yourself after what would be considered ‘finishing college’—let’s say 22 years old.”

Indeed, while the Sex and the City actress’ kids have either fled, or are preparing to flee, the nest, she expressed how she hopes they will approach their adult lives.

“You want for them to be pursuing things that are exciting and challenging and hard and gratifying and to be able to ultimately take care of themselves, support themselves—emotionally, financially,” she shared. “and that they can be in the world and be a reliable person to themselves and to other people. And so we talk about work like that.”
