Sixteen year old stabbed to death by boyfriend, later run-over by truck

A 16-year-old girl has been brutally murdered after ostensibly telling her boyfriend that she wanted to put an end to their relationship.

The horror that unfolded this week in an apartment building in Odivelas has only come from third parties, as the two protagonists are either dead, or in a coma.

Bianca, the 16-year-old victim, was discovered by a neighbour, already long-past the point where she could be saved.

“When I reached her, she was already in spasms. I could see that it was hopeless,” Pedro Festas told tabloid Correio da Manhã. “She had a lot of knife wounds to her neck, a lot of blood all over her body. Our concern was for her, but when emergency help arrived, she was already dead.”

The ‘boyfriend’ meantime had left the apartment building in great haste – so much haste that one eye witness who tried following him, apparently gave up.

It is not clear from the CM story whether the boyfriend was still carrying a weapon at this point. But he made for the IC17 highway, where he “ended up being run over by a truck”.

Everything indicates that the boyfriend “threw himself into the road”, in order to commit suicide (which may be the eventual outcome).

For the time being, the 20-year-old alleged killer is said to be in a serious condition, intubated, in a coma, “with various head and body fractures”.

CM’s article does not say anything about the truck driver, who must have been traumatised to see a bloodstained pedestrian launch himself into the path of his vehicle.
