Madi Prewett Details Living in "Secret Sexual Sin" During Younger Years
Madi Prewett will accept any rose Grant Troutt asks her to.
The Bachelor Nation alum is sharing more insight into her controversial Christian beliefs, detailing why it is easy for her to be a submissive wife to her husband of four years.
“I say often, like, when you love God the most, then you can love your spouse the best,” Prewett explained in an interview alongside Troutt during a June 2 appearance on the The Jennie Allen Podcast. “It’s so easy to follow him because of how he follows Jesus."
Indeed, the 30-year-old—who has documented her faith journey on her own podcast Stay True since 2024—explained that her husband’s faith is strong enough for her to trust.
“I am a strong personality, but it’s so easy to submit to him because of his submission to Christ,” she continued. “I just trust the spirit on the inside of him and we just have a respect for each other and a seeking of the Lord ourselves that it’s like constantly like, ‘Hey, what do you feel like God’s laying on your heart?’”
And Prewett shared how their dynamic plays out in real time.
“He gave up social media six months before I did,” Prewett—who still has an active Instagram account but has not posted since January—continued. “As I watched him make that decision, it inspired and challenged me and I’m like, ‘Hm, I want to make that decision.’”
As she put it, “I’m so grateful for the spiritual leader that Grant is for our family.”

This is not the first time Prewett—mom to daughter Hosanna, 17 months, with Troutt—has detailed her role as a “submissive wife.” In December, she shared why she valued the dynamic.
“Being a submissive wife, it was a challenge for me at first,” Prewett said in an episode of her Stay True podcast at the time, “but now it’s my favorite thing, I love talking about submission.”
The reality TV star—who previously starred on “Pilot” Pete Weber’s season of The Bachelor and briefly dated him afterward—noted, “As a wife, I’m called to submit, I’m called to respect, I’m called to honor.”
After facing backlash for her comments at the time, she clarified that to her, submission does not mean “oppression.”
“That is in no way of how I meant it of what the Bible is saying nor in how we live,” Prewett said in a subsequent podcast episode. “Our marriage dynamic is not like that in any way."
