Police are asking for help to identify the driver of a white car seen near the scene of a fatal Christchurch crash that resulted in the death of a woman in April.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on Grahams Road in Burnside about 10.50pm on 27 April, between Cranbrook and Wayside avenues.
The woman, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to hospital, where she later died.
In an update issued Saturday, police said investigators had reviewed CCTV footage showing a white car turning left onto Grahams Road from Wairakei Road shortly before the crash.
Police say the car stopped when the fatal crash happened, but left before emergency services arrived.

The car reportedly stopped when the crash happened, but left before emergency services arrived.
Police said they would like to speak with the male driver, whom they believe may help with their enquiries.
They did not suggest the driver was involved in the crash, but said he could have information that may help the investigation.
Anyone who recognises the vehicle, or knows its registration number or the identity of the driver is asked to contact police through 105, either online or by phone, quoting file number 260428/3012.
