Carmen Electra Teases Potential Cameo in Baywatch Reboot
Carmen Electra may like it loud, but Prince liked her all dolled up.
The “I Like It Loud” singer revealed the late music legend—whom she briefly dated in the ’90s—requested she sleep in a full face of makeup during their nights together.
“When I was with Prince, he used to want me to sleep with a full face of makeup on and my lashes,” she exclusively told E! News at the 33rd Annual Race to Erase MS Gala June 5. “Prince liked that and I was down for it and I still did that for a long time in my life.”
As for how the 54-year-old’s beauty regimen has leveled up since then?
“I have to have at least eight hours or more of rest,” she explained. “I take really good care of my skin. I wash off my makeup now.”
“I don’t drink. I’m sober,” she added. “And I use a lot of skincare and I’m down for some ‘tox every once in a while. A little Botox never hurt anybody.”
Carmen (born Tara Leigh Patrick) first met the “Purple Rain” hitmaker as an aspiring singer and dancer auditioning for an all-girl band he was assembling. While she wasn't ultimately chosen for the group, she left quite the impression on Prince.

"I received a call from Prince saying I think you should be your own artist and not back up anyone else. I'm going to write you a song and if you like it, you can record it," she recalled during a 2014 interview on OWN. "The name of the song was 'Carmen on Top.' My name is Tara, so I was confused. I loved the song. I loved it, but he said, 'You're not a Tara. You're not Tara. You're Carmen."
After the pair’s connection turned romantic, Carmen revealed Prince had thought about asking her to be his wife.
"His brother once told me Prince was looking at rings when I was still in Minnesota and that he was going to propose to me. I was so excited and in love," she told E! News in 2016. "One day, Prince asked me if I wanted to work or be a housewife. I said I want to work.”

“I was only 19 or 20 and he ended up never asking me to marry him,” she added. “But I was with him every day. I needed to leave and be my own person."
After Prince died of a fatal opioid overdose in 2016, the Scary Movie star detailed the impact he had on her life and career.
“He made me who I am today,” she explained. “He inspired me. He believed in me. He picked a select few to believe in and taught us everything.”
She added, “I think of Prince every day.”
