Jojo Siwa’s Boyfriend Chris Hughes Reveals First Words He Ever Said to Her
JoJo Siwa continues to dance through life’s revelations.
When the Dance Moms alum entered the Celebrity Big Brother UK house in April 2025, she never anticipated she’d emerge with a new partner. After all, she’d been dating influencer Kath Ebbs at the time—four years after coming out as a lesbian.
However, upon meeting U.K. TV personality Chris Hughes, JoJo’s life changed forever. The pair immediately found a connection while filming, and once they left the house three weeks later—and JoJo and Kath’s relationship ended at the reality show’s after-party—their relationship took a turn for the romantic and they’ve been dating ever since.
For JoJo, the experience led her to reconsider and, ultimately, redefine herself.
“I think the most beautiful term now is queer,” the 22-year-old told E! News’ in June 2025. “I think queer is an umbrella of, ‘Look, I'm just me.’ And I think the most beautiful thing about the LGBTQIA community is love is love. And that goes both ways.”
She added, “There's loads of beautiful, different sexualities. Sexuality and queerness is a lovely rainbow that has all different places, and it also has places on this rainbow that we don't even know exist yet.”
That same month, JoJo reflected on her initial experience coming out in 2021, noting it didn’t necessarily align with exactly how she felt inside.

"When I came out at 17, I said, 'I’m pansexual, because I don’t care [about gender],'” she told Daily Mail. “But then I kind of boxed myself in and I said, 'I’m a lesbian.' And I think I did that because of the pressure.”
As for where that pressure originated, JoJo mused, “In a weird way, I think it came a little bit from inside the community at times. From people I know, from partners I’ve had. You just get put in this world where you feel like, because you now have said, 'Oh, I'm a lesbian,' you have to be a lesbian.”
“The truth is,” JoJo emphasized, "sexuality is fluid."
And indeed, it was meeting Chris, 33, that helped the dancer realize the degree of her fluidity.

“I feel so relaxed and at ease with where I'm at,” she added in her interview with E! News. “I feel so happy and peaceful that the love that I feel is so real. You can't really help who you fall in love with.”
As she put it, “There's no right or wrong way to be you.”
And now, JoJo feels right at home in her relationship with Chris.
“What I realized with Christopher is I never have second guessed my feelings for him,” she explained. “Therefore, I've never second guessed my happiness, I've never second guessed what I'm feeling. And I think that's the most beautiful thing.”
