The Israeli military says it has detected Iranian missiles launched at the north of the country.
Warning sirens are currently sounding in communities across northern Israel.
This would be the first Iranian attack on Israel since a ceasefire was announced in early April.
The Israeli military said in an X post its defensive systems were operating to intercept the threat.
Israel had earlier launched an attack on the Hezbollah stronghold suburb of Dahiyeh in southern Beirut.
Iran has been demanding an end to the fighting in Lebanon as part of any peace deal with the US.
