What was the damage in northern Israel?
By Dannielle Maguire
Details on whether Israel suffered any damage are not yet available.
It's after midnight in Israel at the moment, so the region is in darkness.
Reuters is reporting that multiple explosions were heard in northern Israel.
Israel’s military said it intercepted the missiles, and less than an hour later it said people could leave shelters but to stay near them.
US President Donald Trump told US news outlet Axios "the Iranian strikes didn't hurt anybody".

Iran strikes come after Israel's attacks in Beirut
By Dannielle Maguire
After striking Israel on Sunday evening, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps demanded that the Israeli army stop its attacks on Lebanon.
This came after the Israeli military launched strikes in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut.
Lebanese state media reported two dead and 11 injured in an initial toll.
Reuters could not independently confirm what was hit or whether the dead were members of Hezbollah.
The Israeli military said it struck the infrastructure of Iran-backed, Lebanese-based militant group Hezbollah.
In a joint statement with his defence minister, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the strike on the suburbs, known as Dahiyeh, was ordered in response to Hezbollah firing toward Israeli territory.
Apart from two strikes last month, Israel halted its bombardment of Beirut's southern suburbs after a ceasefire announced by the US on April 16.
However, the truce has not halted fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Iran fires missiles on northern Israel
By Dannielle Maguire
Iran has fired missiles at northern Israel on Sunday evening, local time.
It's the first attack on Israel by Iran since the ceasefire was announced in early April.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its attacks were a "warning" of a broader response that would encompass all US and Israeli targets in the region if "aggressions" are repeated.
