Kayera’s Kalam celebrates two years with its 10th edition

The 10th edition of Kayera’s Kalam, a poetry and music platform, concluded on Sunday at The Gardens, Jhamsikhel. The event also marked the platform’s second anniversary.

The programme featured performances by poets Heena Koirala, Amit Gharti, Kayera and Nilo Dhago. The guest act was Folkotronics. Musicians Nigam Acharya and Prashant Chettri also performed.

For the first time, Kayera’s Kalam included dancers accompanying poetry performances. Aaryaa Subedi and Sudarshan Katuwal performed alongside Kayera and Amit Gharti.

According to the organisers, Kayera’s Kalam began two years ago as a small gathering of friends sharing poems and dreams in a circle. Today, it has grown into a community of hundreds of artists and audience members.

“This milestone isn’t just ours. It belongs to every artist who collaborated with us, every audience member who showed up and became part of our journey,” said Kayera, founder of Kayera’s Kalam.
