Yasmien Kurdi responded to a netizen who criticized her for sharing her early law school journey, saying the bashing no longer affects her.
Kurdi recently took to Instagram to share that she will be decluttering some of her first-year law school books as she prepared for the upcoming school year.
However, one netizen left a negative comment on her post, saying, “Ang hirap maging law student! First year ka pa lang! Maka-flex! Flex mo kapag bar review ka na!”

“Just enjoy every journey, celebrate the small wins, and be proud of every little step you achieve in life,” Yasmien wrote on Sunday, June 7.
“Siguro kung mas bata-bata pa ako, baka apektado pa ko. Pero sa edad ko ngayon, mas nare-realize ko na life is too short talaga,” added the actress.
The “Starstruck” alumna noted that students are already being trained for the Bar examinations as early as first year.

“Mahirap talaga ang law school kasi napakahaba ng preparation. Pinaghahandaan na kami para sa Bar as early as first year. Pagod, hirap, at luha ang kasama sa journey,” she said.
Kurdi emphasized that she is proud of herself for surviving her first year in law school even if she has a long way to go in her education.

“Noong una, naisip ko rin kung ise-share ko ba ang law school journey ko o hindi. Pero dahil challenging siya, nakaka-proud isipin na naka-survive ako ng isang taon!” she expressed.
The actress then reminded people not to compare timelines and instead support others in their achievements.
“Be happy for your friends kapag successful sila… wag kang bitter, dahil iba-iba naman tayo ng timeline at pinagdadaanan sa buhay,” she said.
“Enjoy mo lang ang course and life! Bahala na kung magba-Bar o hindi. Just go with the flow. Kung ano ang plan ni Lord for us, dun tayo. Huwag masyadong magpapadala sa pressure ng buhay,” Kurdi emphasized.
Kurdi, who is now a mother of two, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Arellano University in 2019.
Earlier this year, the actress announced that she is going back to school and continuing to pursue law so she can learn to defend herself and her family.
“Parang nakita ko rin ‘yung demand sa life ko and sa family ko. Kapag artista ka kasi, pag-public figure ka, laging ikaw yung target. Laging ikaw yung parang pinupuntirya sa mga issues,” she explained.
