MANILA, Philippines – Filipino motorists and consumers are bracing for another round of fuel price hikes this week, with increases affecting diesel, gasoline, and kerosene nationwide.
In an advisory released Monday, Seaoil Philippines announced that fuel price adjustments will take effect on June 9.
Among the three fuel types, kerosene will see the sharpest increase at P8.10 per liter — a significant jump that is likely to affect households, particularly those in rural areas that still rely on kerosene for lighting and cooking.

Diesel, widely used by public utility vehicles, trucks, and other commercial transport, will rise by P5.77 per liter.
The increase is expected to put additional pressure on transport operators and logistics companies already grappling with tight margins. Commuters may also feel the impact if transport groups push for fare adjustment petitions in response to the higher fuel costs.
Meanwhile, gasoline will see a comparatively modest uptick of 30 centavos per liter. While the adjustment is relatively small, it still adds to the cumulative burden on private vehicle owners who have weathered multiple price increases in recent months.
As of Monday, other major oil companies had yet to release their official price movement advisories for the week. However, industry practice typically sees competing firms announcing similar adjustments within the same pricing window, meaning consumers across different fuel brands are likely to experience comparable increases.
The latest round of price hikes comes amid ongoing volatility in the global oil market, driven in part by uncertainty in the Middle East, which continues to weigh on crude oil supply expectations and international benchmark prices.
