Apple’s biggest event of the year is nearly here. The company’s Worldwide Developers Conference will spotlight updates to iOS, macOS, and all of Apple’s other operating systems, and this year’s event could also include a major overhaul for Siri. Here’s how you can watch along live.
When WWDC will happen and where you can watch it
WWDC lasts a few days, but Apple’s biggest announcements will be in the keynote presentation on June 8th at 1PM ET / 10AM PT. The full presentation usually lasts a couple of hours. You can watch it live on YouTube or from Apple’s website.
What to expect from Apple’s WWDC keynote
Apple’s annual OS updates. WWDC is where Apple announces the next major update to all of its operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Features we could see in this year’s round of updates include support for Google Cast in iOS, a bill-splitting feature in the Wallet and Messages apps, and some minor adjustments to Liquid Glass and performance improvements for macOS.
A shiny new Siri. Apple’s big Siri overhaul has been a long time coming, but according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will finally launch it at this year’s WWDC. In addition to a Gemini-powered Siri, Apple may also introduce a dedicated Siri app, which we’ve already seen some renders of, and a new Siri chat bubble that pops out of the Dynamic Island.
Some new AI features. Besides Siri, Apple will also likely add more AI features across its apps and operating systems. The iOS Camera app is rumored to be getting a redesign, which will include a new “Siri” mode for using visual intelligence features. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple could also announce an option for generating wallpapers with AI, new AI features in Apple Health, and a redesigned Image Playground app. Apple may also add a feature that allows users to choose a preferred third-party AI model, such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
