CEBU CITY, Philippines — Another senior kegler, Martin Villar, emerged victorious in the Sugbuanon Bowlers United (Sugbu) Shootout Tournament last Sunday at the SM Seaside Bowling and Leisure Center.
Villar, a 64-year-old civil engineer and owner of Corrtech Inc., a Cebu-based civil engineering firm, captured the weekly bowling title with a score of 213 pinfalls despite being the lowest-ranked bowler among the three finalists from Division C.
He capitalized on his 35-handicap points to outscore Division B champion and fellow senior bowler Vivian Padawan, who finished second with 173 pinfalls and 33 handicap points. Division A’s Danny Sabang settled for third place after tallying 160 pinfalls with only five handicap points.
