BGaming has raised more than €200,000 for DAR Bjorn during its second annual Charity Gala held at The Phoenicia Malta.
The event, which took place on 29th May, brought together over 400 guests from Malta’s iGaming industry, business community and wider society in support of people living with ALS, MS and other severe neurological conditions.
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ian Borg was also in attendance.
DAR Bjorn, founded by ALS activist Bjorn Formosa following his diagnosis at age 28, currently cares for 60 residents while supporting more than 800 people across Malta.
According to organisers, the funds raised will go towards equipping DAR Bjorn’s new Respite Centre with essential medical equipment and care facilities.
The initiative also included a merchandise collection co-created by Portuguese street artist Gonçalo MAR together with DAR Bjorn residents, which raised an additional €5,000 through donations.
BGaming CEO Marina Ostrovtsova said the event showed “the ability to create meaningful change when we work together”.
