
North Penajam Paser, East Kali (ANTARA) - North Penajam Paser District administration in East Kalimantan is preparing flagship projects ready for investment to attract investors as efforts to welcome new economic growth in the Indonesia's new capital city, Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
"The strategy is through investment projects ready to offer (IPRO). We are offering a number of investment projects that are fully developed and ready to be worked by investors," North Penajam Paser District's investment office head, Amrullah, stated here on Monday.
Amrullah said his office attracts investments in sectors that support the development of the new capital, noting that water resources, agriculture, and tourism have been identified as key sectors.

North Penajam Paser District is committed to provide business certainty with data, site, and project readiness, as well as permit and regulatory facilities, ensuring prompt and smooth investments.
"We will focus on integrated permit and real-time data update facilities to attract global investors," he added.
Meanwhile, he revealed the North Penajam Paser Disctrict administration is targeting Rp3.4 trillion (US$187 million) in investment this year after recording fluctuating investment realisation over the past two years.
After surpassing its 2024 target by 45 percent—recording Rp3.7 trillion (US$203.5 million) in investment against a target of Rp2.5 trillion (US$137.5 million)—the district achieved only about one-third of its 2025 target, realising Rp1.7 trillion (US$95.3 million) against a target of Rp4.7 trillion (US$258 million).
"To further boost investment performance, a number of strategies have been put in place to ensure the investment target of Rp3.4 trillion by 2026 is met. We are optimistic that the establishment of the IKN will open up these investment opportunities," Amrullah noted.
