Emmys 2025: Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham Admit They Took "Fall Hostage"
Alexis Bledel is back on the big screen.
The Gilmore Girls actress made a rare red carpet appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival while promoting her new film Ponderosa, her first movie since 2019.
Bledel stunned in a knee-length satin dress with a butter yellow top with a sheer collar cutout and black skirt while stepping out for the film's world premiere at the Village East Cinema. She paired her look with black peep toe heels and a sparkling clutch, opting to wear her shoulder-length hair down.
The 44-year-old also posed with director Rob Rice and costar Jack Dylan Grazer in the film festival's official portrait studio.
Ponderosa tells the story of Grazer's character Zeke who "enjoys the peaceful and measured nature of suburban life under the watchful eye of his mom, Sandra (Bledel). Their world flips upside down when the buffet where Sandra works closes down, thrusting rich regular George (Bill Camp) firmly into their lives," per the Tribeca Film Festival.
The project follows Bledel's four-season run on The Handmaid's Tale, which she returned to for the series finale in season six. Her most recent major public appearance had come last year at the 2025 Emmy Awards, where she reunited with former Gilmore Girls costar Lauren Graham to as present the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series to The Studio.
"Twenty-five years ago," Graham said alongside Bledel, "a show called Gilmore Girls premiered and apparently took the season of fall hostage."

Bledel added, "In spite of our autumnal dominance, Gilmore was actually a very small show," before Lauren jokingly quipped, "Meaning we have no money."
"If there was a birthday at The Drew Carey Show next door, they would send us their leftover sheet cake," the 59-year-old shared at the time. "We walked in circles in Burbank, saying, 'Hey, look how Connecticut it is here today.'"

After Bledel joked that the cast was "bullied and starving" during the show's seven-season run, Graham added, "But the one thing we did have, we had scripts."
