Kevin Jonas made sure Priyanka Chopra was burning up for Nick Jonas.

The eldest Jonas Brother revealed that he was there for Priyanka and Nick’s official first date eight years ago—although his evening was perhaps slightly less romantic than his brother’s.

“It was pretty great,” Kevin recalled on the June 7 episode of their Hey Jonas podcast. “I wingmanned hard. I wingmanned so hard I threw up in the bathroom and rallied.”

Brother Joe Jonas, 36, then played a sad noise from his sound machine, to which Kevin, 38, replied, “No, no, no! Praise! Clap, clap, clap.”

And while he didn’t divulge what exactly made him so sick, even Nick, 33, remembered the night going well, adding, “It was a pro move.”

Nick and Priyanka—who married in December 2018 and are parents to 4-year-old daughter Malti—actually had several people join them on the first date, which was an outing to see a live performance of Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

“I was like, 'But let's bring some friends so there's less pressure.' So it was like a group hang in case it wasn't the vibe,” Nick explained on the Therapuss podcast in March. “And so she brought her best friend. I brought Kevin and another couple friends of ours, Greg and Paris, and we had the absolute best time at the show.”

And as the “Jealous” singer recalled, Kevin was “overly hyping” him up to the Citadel actress.

“Someone bringing up like baseball or something, Kevin would be like, ‘Oh, Nick could have gone pro. He could have been a pro baseball player,’” Nick shared. “That was the most Jersey thing ever and it was very sweet.”

Of course, Priyanka quickly caught on to Kevin’s wingman moves.

“She obviously was like, 'Your brother's really like gassing you up,’” Nick said. “I was like, ‘He wants this to go well.’ And then it did. We French kissed that night.”

The couple were engaged by July 2018, marrying five months later. And despite the whirlwind nature of their romance, Priyanka knew Nick was the one for her.

“Nick is exactly the kind of person my dad would have picked for me if he had a choice,” the Quantico alum, whose father died in 2013, said on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals in March. “My dad's first love was music. He loved music. He loved singing it. He loved listening to it. He loved admiring the artistry behind it.”

“More than anything, Nick is a really wise soul, a wise person,” the 43-year-old continued, “and I think that he would have wanted someone like that for me, because that ain't me.”
