
MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court (SC) announced the continued suspension of court operations in areas across Mindanao on Tuesday, June 9, following Monday morning’s earthquake off the southern coast of Mindanao, which left infrastructure heavily damaged.
In an advisory using the hashtag #SCPhWalangPasok, the SC advised the public that localized closures remain in effect to ensure the safety of judiciary personnel and the public while local engineers assess the integrity of courthouses.
Operations are suspended for the day in the following areas within Judicial Region (JR) 11:
Sarangani Province: All courts
Davao del Sur:
All courts housed in the Hall of Justice of Davao City
2nd MCTC Hagonoy-Matanao
3rd MCTC Padada-Kiblawan
Davao Occidental:
5th MCTC Malita-Sta. Maria-Don Marcelino
6th MCTC Jose Abad Santos-Sarangani (Balut Island)
Davao del Norte: All courts in Panabo City
Davao Oriental:
Regional Trial Court (RTC) and Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) in Mati City
Branch 32, RTC, and all courts under its territorial jurisdiction in Lupon
RTC and MTC in Baganga
1st MCTC Cateel-Boston
2nd MCTC Caraga-Manay-Tarragona
Davao de Oro: All courts in the Hall of Justice of Nabunturan
South Cotabato:
All courts in Surallah
All courts in Polomolok (except Branch 39, RTC)
All courts in the Hall of Justice of Koronadal City
All courts in the Hall of Justice of General Santos City

HELP MINDANAO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
The Inquirer Foundation is calling for support for communities devastated by the recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao.
In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, the foundation is amplifying appeals for food, clean water and other critical assistance for affected families.
Donors may send contributions directly to the Philippine Red Cross through its official transfer channels, the complete list is available on the PRC’s Facebook page.
The Philippine Red Cross has activated its emergency fund campaign and deployed teams on the ground to provide medical services, distribute relief goods and extend psychosocial support to affected families.
