Dolphy may have gone away, but his legacy lives on especially in the last family sitcom that he helmed, and which is now being revived through the collective effort of the cast and crew of “Home Along Da Riles, Da Reunion” movie.
The trailer brings back the hilarious Cosme brood on the big screen, sans their patriarch Kevin Cosme, played by Dolphy, as his children try to live as normally as they could without his guiding hand on the notoriously wacky railway neighborhood. Together with their support system — aunt Azon (played by Nova Villa), and the Sunog Baga team of the Riles community — they strive to face life’s challenges just as how their father would have wanted them to.
Smokey Manaloto, who plays Dolphy’s firstborn son, shared the official trailer of the movie on Facebook, as he expressed excitement for the movie, which will hit cinemas on June 17.

At the mediacon for “Home Along the Riles, Da Reunion,” cast members recalled the “King of Comedy” and their happy times together on the set as they were shooting for the TV series, and this comeback movie.
Optimum Star Claudine Baretto, who played one of Dolphy’s children in the TV series, said being part of the show has become a “core memory” for her, as it paved the way for her to become associated with some of the big names in the industry.
