On June 13, Vila Vita Parc in Porches will mark St Anthony’s Day with a celebration inspired by the most iconic Portuguese folk traditions. With live music and a festive atmosphere, the resort’s Piazzeta will host a festival designed to bring guests and visitors together for an evening of conviviality and celebration at the Adega restaurant, featuring charcoal-grilled sardines and crispy suckling pig belly.
From 6pm, guests and visitors are invited to celebrate the Popular Saints as the Piazzeta is transformed into an authentic festival square, decorated with basil plants, lanterns, colourful bunting, brightly patterned tablecloths and atmospheric lighting, evoking the warm atmosphere of Lisbon’s neighbourhoods on St Anthony’s nights. A live band will bring rhythm and soul to the celebration.
Meanwhile, at the Adega restaurant, guests can savour the flavours of Portuguese cuisine, such as traditional charcoal-grilled sardines, Zambujal-style roasted chorizo with medronho, or minced veal, homemade pickles and grilled bread. The menu features specialities prepared in a wood-fired oven, such as Zé do Pipo-style cod or crispy suckling pig belly.
The experience will be complemented by festive-inspired cocktails, wines served in large bottles and a selection of exclusive flavours from Gelato Mio’s homemade ice creams, perfect for the hottest days of summer.
Bookings for dinner at the Adega restaurant are recommended and should be made via the website or by emailing [email protected]
