
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 1,501 police officers have been sanctioned for violations of law enforcement rules and procedures from January 1 to June 3, 2026, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the PNP detailed that, among the 1,501 allegedly erring police officers, 436 were dismissed from the police service; 77 were demoted and 692 were suspended from their posts.

Meanwhile, 225 were given reprimands; 34 had their police officer privileges withdrawn; 31 had their salaries forfeited; and six were given restrictions, according to the PNP’s tally.
