Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle for Pierre Sage to become their new head coach.

The club are close to agreeing a compensation package with Sage's current club RC Lens.

The Frenchman is set to sign a contract up until the summer of 2029 with the option of a further year.

Sage emerged as the preferred candidate after Andoni Iraola became Liverpool head coach.
