Atalanta on Tuesday sacked former
Monza and Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino and are set to
announce the appointment of former Lazio, Napoli, Chelsea and
Juve boss Maurizio Sarri in his place, the Bergamo club said.
Palladino, 42, was dismissed after the two sides failed to find
a departure by mutual consent agreement.
Sarri, 67, who has been replaced at Lazio by ex Italy boss
Gennaro Gattuso, is expected to take over at La Dea shortly.
Palladino had started at Atalanta on November 11 when he came in
for Ivan Juric who was axed after earning just 13 points in the
first 11 games of the season.
Palladino led Atalanta, who played in the Champions League last
season, to Conference League qualification.
