
MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in many parts of the country on Saturday due to the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, the state weather bureau said.
In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), weather specialist Veronica Torres said that the easterlies will affect the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Torres said that train is expected in the Davao Region, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga region.

Torres added that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of localized thunderstorms are possible over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, she said that Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will see generally fair weather conditions, with chances of localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

“This kind of weather may last for 3 to 5 days but since it has a longer span, it can still change,” Torres said.
She also said that no low pressure area is being monitored in and around the Philippine area of responsibility.

No gale warning was likewise raised over any of the country’s seaboards.
