North Melbourne wins a nailbiter in Perth after West Coast wastes a late chance, ahead of Port Adelaide hosting Sydney at Adelaide Oval.

Jake Waterman missed a kick with less than a minute on the clock, as the Kangaroos won by a point, 10.14 (74) to 10.13 (73) at Perth Stadium.

Earlier, talented Bombers backman Archie Roberts dislocated his right shoulder in a first-half tackle attempt as Melbourne recorded a 13.17 (95) to 6.14 (50) win at the MCG as both sides paid tribute to Neale Daniher.

Xavier Bamert is adjudged to have encroached on the mark with Riley Bice 65m out from goal and he's baffled by the call.
