Sarah Bajada, the partner of Opposition Leader Alex Borg, has spoken candidly about the challenges of balancing work commitments with motherhood, saying that life behind the scenes is often very different from what people see online.
Speaking during a recent episode of her podcast, Bajada reflected on the realities of working from home while raising her son, Sam, explaining that there are moments when professional responsibilities and family life inevitably overlap.
“Sometimes he’ll ask for me constantly when I’m in the middle of filming, editing or doing something. But the truth is, that’s his way of saying, ‘Mum, I want you,’” she said.
Bajada explained that despite the demands of content creation and work, her son always comes first whenever he needs her attention.
She also highlighted how social media often captures only a small portion of people’s daily lives, while the reality involves constantly juggling professional obligations, parenting and family responsibilities.
The podcast host said that sharing these moments is part of her effort to remain authentic with her audience and offer a more honest look at the realities of motherhood.
Her comments resonated with a common experience faced by many working parents, particularly those navigating the challenges of working from home while raising young children.
