Discovery of woman's body in WA's Goldfields sparks homicide investigation

Homicide detectives are investigating after the body of a woman was found in Western Australia's Goldfields.

Just before 10am on Friday police were called to Kalgoorlie, 600km east of Perth, after a body was located near the intersection of Goldfields Highway and Roberts Road.

St John WA attended the scene where the 35-year-old woman was declared deceased.

Authorities say a 38-year-old man known to the deceased woman is helping police with their investigations.
