Look Up! Żabbar’s Famous Umbrella Street Is Making A Colourful Comeback

Żabbar’s colourful umbrella installation is set to brighten the town’s streets once again as the Żabbar Street Festival returns this weekend.

On Saturday 13th June, Main Street will be transformed by hundreds of vibrant umbrellas suspended above visitors, creating one of Malta’s most Instagrammable moments.

The colourful canopy has become a popular attraction for both locals and tourists, drawing visitors eager to explore the town centre and capture memorable photos beneath the striking display.

Similarly to previous years, the festival will also feature a packed programme of family-friendly activities from 7.30pm, including:

The artistic umbrella installation along Main Street

A classic and modern car exhibition in the town’s two main squares

Billiard tournaments

A big screen showing FIFA World Cup matches

Local artisan stalls featuring a variety of handmade products

An exhibition of salt-crafted design

Live mural painting by local artists throughout the event
