Prime Minister Robert Abela has presented a €50,000 donation to The Malta Trust Foundation through the Social Causes Fund, in support of the organisation’s work with vulnerable children, young people and marginalised communities.
During a fundraising event organised by the foundation, Abela met with children attending the event and also assisted by answering phones as donations were collected.
“The Malta Trust Foundation continues to change lives every day,” the Prime Minister said.
He explained that the donation was being made “in the name of the Maltese and Gozitan population” through the Social Causes Fund.
Sharing the moment on social media, Abela said: “Today, we stand together for our children.”
The Malta Trust Foundation works to empower vulnerable children and young people, as well as individuals facing poverty, social exclusion and disability, through a range of support programmes and initiatives.
The donation forms part of ongoing efforts to support organisations working directly with some of Malta’s most vulnerable communities.
