On the second day of the event, 25,000 runners participated in the long-distance category, consisting of 16,400 people in the Half Marathon and 8,600 people in the Marathon.
He observed a significant increase in enthusiasm for this year's race, with participation in the 2026 BTN Jakarta International Marathon reaching 45,500 runners, compared with approximately 31,000 people in the previous year.
This increase demonstrates the growing public trust and interest in international running events held in Jakarta.
"The enthusiasm of participants this year has increased significantly. This shows that public trust and interest in international running events in Jakarta continue to grow," Rano Karno noted.
The event also attracted 1,012 international runners, highlighting Jakarta's increasing attractiveness as a venue for international sporting events.

The provincial government expects the BTN Jakarta International Marathon to further develop into a flagship annual event that attracts widespread public interest and strengthens Jakarta's portfolio of international sporting competitions.
"We hope this event will turn into an annual event awaited by the public and officially included in Jakarta's international sports calendar," he said.
