A 22-year-old woman from Sikkim, working as a receptionist at a salon in Bengaluru, was found murdered at her rented residence in Doddakannahalli, Bellandur, police said.
BENGALURU: A 22-year-old woman from Sikkim, working as a receptionist at a salon in Bengaluru, was found murdered at her rented residence in Doddakannahalli, Bellandur, police said.The victim, identified as Ati Hangma Subba, was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, Purba Lepcha, a hotel waiter from Darjeeling.Police said the accused suspected her fidelity.Both had come to the city about a month ago in search of work.According to police, the incident took place early on Sunday morning after a heated argument between the two inside their house. The accused allegedly used a kitchen knife to slit the victim’s throat.Police said an investigation is underway.
